Welcome to the Wisconsin Chapter of the IFGS
The Wisconsin chapter of the International Fantasy Gaming Society (IFGS) is a not-for-profit organization that runs Live Action Roleplaying (LARP) events in the Madison area. Our events are fantasy based, story driven, team games, with a safe light touch boffer combat system and called magic system. Players create their own characters, which persist through multiple games. The society allows us to offer insurance as well as the ability to take characters to play in the other chapters throughout the country. We invite you to come game with us.

The end of the season
Posted by Kyle Davis [4997] at 09/25/2011 11:47 AM
Another successful season concluded yesterday. We ran five outdoor games this year, ran demos at two cons, and had a bunch of fun. We are looking forward to a few social events over the winter and possibly running an indoor game or two. Thanks to everyone for pitching in and making this year great.

We will be running some demo games in the boffer room at Geek Kon. The con is a great time, even if you aren't interested in us, but say hi if you are in the neighborhood.
OddCon 2011 Report

We ran a room at OddCon again this year, and it was a great success. There was a good amount of interest and we ended up running 9 teams through the minigames as well as almost constant swordfighting. Thanks to everyone who staffed, and hello to all the new faces and faces we haven't seen in a while from the con.
We are looking forward to an exciting season this year. We have a large number of games in sanctioning right now and a couple great ones lined up to kick off the season.
Character Sheets and CAP are on the website

Exciting news, character sheets have all been entered and are up on the website. If you don't have a login, shoot us an email at wisconsinifgs@ifgs.org. Check your characters and CAP make sure everything looks reasonable. Note some of the old characters don't have items entered (only gold and xp) from Scribe. You'll probably need to get with registry to work out your character since the Bluebook Update.
Your CAP is on your member record (click profile in the upper left). Next to your name in the profile is a link to your CAP History report, which will break down each CAP transaction in the system.
To find your characters, go to the Members menu > Search Characters and type in your name as your login displays it (not including [ifgs number]) in the search box.
